Clear & Happy Pools joined up with the Aris Foundation and donated and passed out snack packs to the homeless in August. It was so rewarding to meet, interact, and witness the gratitude from the community and to be a part of the amazing work the Aris Foundation continues to do.
It was a scorching 115 degrees the day we brought 125 snack packs to hand out to the homeless. People started lining up early for the weekly hot meal. In total, almost 100 people attended.
The snack packs are for the men and women to have to eat throughout the week. For a lot of the people, this hot meal on Tuesday night is the only food they can count on eating that week. The snacks ensure they have some additional food to take with them.
After some deliberation the following snacks were decided upon:
Capri Sun
Gummi Bears
Red Vines Licorice
Chewy granola bars
Almond butter biscuits
Mixed nuts
Pretzels
The assembly line was created...
And hours later, the snack packs were all ready to go!
