As we all know, this has been a challenging year for millions of people worldwide. As unemployment rates rose at alarming rates, the number of people relying on local food banks for food was skyrocketing as well. For the month of February, Clear & Happy Pools donated food to St. Mary's Food Bank to help provide items to those in need.
We learned that while many people donate canned goods nd pantry items such as soup, boxed macaroni & cheese, canned vegegtables, peanut butter, etc., there is a real need for pantry staples at food banks everywhere. With our donation, we kept this in mind as we donated flour, sugar, salt, oil, spices, and bread. We gratefully donated all of the below to St. Mary's foodbank in Phoenix and hope that it helped to lift the burden for some people in our community.
Loaves of bread
Cumin
Chili powder
Paprika
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Black pepper
Salt
Salt & pepper shakers (filled)
Sugar (48 pounds!)
Flour (120 pounds!)
Vegetable oil for cooking (4.5 gallons!)
